Dinner with Aunty _ 27.04.08

Last Sunday, we went out for dinner with Aunty Yap and cousin Premala. My brother Jayaraj and family together with Mum accompanied us to visit my aunt at Kepong.

We all went out for a Chinese Dinner in a restaurant in Bandar Menjalara. Wonderful and enjoyable dinner with family. Chitra ordered our favourite steamed fish "chung ching" style. We also had my favourite "fatt putt" i.e. yam basket.

Sindhu's Birthday Party _ 26.04.08

My cousin, Sindhu, celebrated her 10th birthday, last Saturday, at her home in Kelana Mahkota Condominium, Kelana Jaya, with family and friends. The party was held in the Hall at Ground Floor commencing at 4 p.m. with her friends. The party was in full swing with Magic shows performed by my sis-in-law, Sudha, and party games when we arrived at 6 p.m. after the boy's football league matches. Krishnapriya went earlier with her cousins to help decorate the hall.

Food served was plenty and delicious with roti canai, chapati, mee hoon, mutton and chicken curry. Sandwiches, chicken nugget and lots of "kueh" were also served.

SJC Youth Football League (SJCYFL)_ 26.04.08

Firstly about our Subang Jaya Community Youth Football League. The football league was formed by a group of parents in Subang Jaya in 2001 to provide opportunity for boys to play football while the parents get involved as coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, scorekeepers or general volunteers.

The league gives the parents an opportunity to get involved in the lives of their children and interact with other parents in the community.

The spirit of volunteerism is the foundation for the league’s success which has grown to participation of more than 250 boys playing for 30 teams divided into Junior (U-8), Major (U-10), Senior (U-12) and Premier (U-14) divisions.
Our league core values include unity, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, service and family. For more information regarding SJCYFL, please visit our website http://sjcyfl.wetpaint.com/

Chitra and myself got involved in the League when Ramaraj started playing in the Major Division in 2001. Unfortunately, Ramaraj outgrew the league age limit of U14 (Premier) in 2006. We continued helping out in the running of the League. Chitra is currently the Treasurer of the Subang Jaya Community Sports Club.

Majors match between Sharks and Wolves was played at SRK Seafield at 3 p.m. It was a hot, hot afternoon. The games were rescheduled to be played earlier in the afternoon to avoid the thunderstorm in the late afternoon. The game ended in a draw 2-2 after an evenly contested match.

Refereeing the match between Archers and Kings

The Junior division match between Archers and Kings took place at the same school at 4 p.m. Archers are the top team in the division and got down to business by attacking the Kings goalpost from the whistle. My nephew, Naveen, had the unenviable task of stopping Archers as the goalkeeper. Archers eventually won by 2-0 score despite some heroic defending by Muhammad Aref and Naveen.

Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my blog. Firstly, I should thank my good friend, Robert Chung, who introduced me to the world of bloggers yesterday. I decided to plunge in the next day!

Something about myself. I am a Civil Engineer working for an established Consulting Engineers Firm in Kuala Lumpur. My interest includes games like football, chess and scrabble. I am an ardent Liverpool supporter. My wife, Chitra, and myself are involved in the Subang Jaya Sports Club organising games like football and futsal for children which keeps us busy in the weekend.

I have been married to my lovely wife, P.Chitra, for 18 years and we are blessed with two children, Ramaraj and Krishnapriya.
